Are societies in the world becoming more similar (homogenous) or more different (heterogeneous)?

  From my observation that was happening today the world is now becoming more similar or homogenous. Most of the things we used nowadays are becoming more accessible to everyone. The influence of global products like phones, cars even beauty products has become dominant to people and an increasing number of people preferred to buy almost the same unit of cellphones, and items with the same brands and styles. We can even buy whatever we want online and there are products that all countries can use or purchase. There is a restaurant that is available globally and wherever you are around the globe you can buy the foods similarly and eat in the same restaurant or fast food. For example, the largest fast food chain in the world is McDonald where everyone can avail same foods. We preferred branded products, clothes, and shoes that become trends and fashion by people.   It is easy for people today to access information without barriers and since globalization helps in the expansion and intensification of social relationships and consciousness around the world, people are becoming familiar with one another which creates unity and the same beliefs. As we can see from the sports people are playing nowadays are basketball, volleyball, boxing and many other that is popular around the world and the chosen games by almost everyone setting aside their native games like here in the Philippines before we have patintero, tumbang preso but now we do not play it often rather we chose the international games so we can compete them or become globally competitive. How about the” New World Order” the concept of this is that there will be one government to rule the world thus the political views will become the same and everyone will agree and follow the government of the world since it will solely manage the countries. Whatever the truth about this “New World Order” is still the people are making moves to be united in one political view.
